  • Site-based performance improvement programs
  • Combined committee overseeing joint projects and health center programs
  • Joint provider peer review activities
  • Compliance programs limiting liability and improving coding accuracy
Coding Compliance

  • Maximize billing and limit exposure.
  • Individualized and small group training for providers and coding staff.
  • Match care provided with documentation and items checked on encounter form.
  • Bill correctly based on provider coding from encounter form.
JCAHO Compliance

  • Coordinate compliance activities between BMC and the health centers.
  • Carry out recommendations from BMC for the health centers.
  • Develop standards, policies and practices as required (eg. pain assessment).
  • Ongoing, systematic monitoring.
